New Floodlight Charges from 1 April 2016

Wednesday, 30 March 2016

The installation of the new floodlights provided the Committee with an opportunity to review the charges and to streamline the charging arrangements.

With effect from 1 April 2016 the standard cost of using floodlights will be reduced to £4 per hour per court (previously £5 per hour per court). This charge will apply to floodlight usage for:

Club Nights (Mondays and Wednesdays between 1 April and 30 September) after 9.30pm. Prior to that time floodlight usage for members taking part in Club Night will be free;
All other social tennis, internal league matches, tournament matches and team practice whether played while Club matches are being played on other courts or at other times;
Coaching sessions;
Autumn and Winter League matches. These will continue to be charged separately and will reflect the new lower charges.

Team Captains may only use the floodlight switch override for Club matches. They should not use it for any other purpose.

Members can purchase tokens for the floodlight meters at the bar at a price of £2 per token and should ensure they do so in advance of their games as there may not always be a member of the Bar Sub-Committee available to supply them. Tokens last 30 minutes as previously.
